Secretary for Evangelization and Communication

Presently, the Diocese of Metuchen is seeking a Secretary for the Secretariat of Evangelization and Communication. This is an executive level position to bring vision, inspiration and strategic planning to the secretariat for evangelization and communication. The position includes assisting in developing a cohesive message of evangelization, mindful of the particular demographic and cultural diversity within the local Church of Metuchen, which comprises the four central counties of New Jersey. The Secretary for Evangelization and Communication will also seek to ensure that all of the pastoral offices and initiatives of the Diocese of Metuchen are conceived, planned and executed in a profile of evangelization that is directed to lifelong missionary discipleship.
The successful candidate will be a dynamically faith filled Roman Catholic, capable of articulating the gospel in a relevant and compelling manner of speech and life. They will be academically prepared by at least having obtained a master's degree in theology. They will also have had a minimum of five years' experience successfully working in the field of evangelization and leadership at the diocesan level. Key leadership skills include an ability to motivate, problem solve and strategize with a team approach to ministry.
