Diocese of Metuchen to mark Good Shepherd Sunday with Holy Hour of Prayer, seminarian visits

April 20, 2018

PISCATAWAY – In celebration of Good Shepherd Sunday, also the 55th anniversary of the World Day of Prayer for Vocations, the Diocese of Metuchen’s Offices of Religious and Vocations will co-sponsor a Holy Hour of Prayer, April 22 at 3 p.m. at the St. John Neumann Pastoral Center, 146 Metlars Lane. All are welcome.

Good Shepherd Sunday, designated in 1963 by Pope Paul VI as World Day of Prayer for Vocations, is celebrated on the Fourth Sunday of Easter. The day provides an opportunity for the Church to publicly celebrate and pray for vocations to ordained ministry and religious life. The theme this year is “Listening, discerning and living the Lord’s call.”
