Home Parish: Saints Philip and James, Phillipsburg, NJ

What are your hobbies/interests?
I enjoy running, exercising, reading, hiking, playing frisbee and camping.
What were you doing prior to entering the seminary?
Before entering seminary, I was a student at Phillipsburg High School.
Who or what (Scriptural verses, etc.) were the greatest influences in your decision to enter the seminary and why?
The passage of the “Good Shepherd” from the Gospel of John, chapter 10, was very influential in me entering seminary.  This image gave me the desire to become a shepherd of the Lord’s flock, to help lead the People of God to Jesus, the Good Shepherd.
What advice would you offer a young man who is discerning the priesthood?
I would encourage him to pray daily, live the moral life, and to receive the sacraments often in order to grow in relationship with Christ.  Only in relationship to Christ will he be able to know God’s will for his life.
What are some highlights during your time in the seminary thus far that have strengthened your call to the priesthood?
My favorite moments as a seminarian have been being with and ministering to the People of God at my various parish assignments. Their support and encouragement have been a huge support in my vocational journey and has granted me numerous beautiful experiences on my path to the Priesthood.
