The Office of Vocations provides two basic services to the Diocese of Metuchen.
First, it takes care of the education and formation of her seminarians, this includes pastoral visits to each of those young men studying for the Diocese of Metuchen every semester. Second, the Office assists young men and women who may be hearing the call to serve within the Diocese and empowers parishes to find candidates that will make good and holy priests, sisters and brothers. This is done mainly by:
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
If someone told you that you'd make a good priest someday...
If you've been wondering what it would be like to be a priest...
If you wish you had an opportunity to pray about your vocation, to talk with priests or to visit a seminary...
Then you've come to the right place. The Diocese of Metuchen has a thriving vocations program with an open door to men and women who are discerning religious life. We have young men who decided while still in high school that they want to explore the possibility of becoming a priest. We also have men who graduated and held jobs before answering that call to consider the priesthood. We have men coming from different countries and cultures.
We invite you to look around our website. You can email me at mtabera@diometuchen.org or give me a call at (732) 562-2453. I'd be happy to visit with you and answer your questions as you discern what God wants you to do with your life.
