On the occasion of 2025 World Day of Prayer for Consecrated Life, the Most Rev. James F. Checchio, Bishop of Metuchen, expresses gratitude for our women and men in consecrated life for their witness to the Gospel, their dedication to the mission of the Church, their compassion and for their prayers.

Governor Murphy’s proclamation represents one component of New Jersey's annual celebration of Catholic Schools' Week. A variety of related activities are planned at both the diocesan and local levels to highlight the achievements of Catholic schools.

As we celebrate Catholic Schools Week, Bishop Checchio write to you with a heart full of gratitude and pride for the vibrant Catholic school communities in the Diocese of Metuchen.

Bishop has added twelve priests to the College of Consultors & two to the Presbyteral Council.
