PISCATAWAY – Bishop James F. Checchio of the Diocese of Metuchen participated in a series of three separate votes to hold bishops accountable for instances of sexual abuse.
METUCHEN – Three men, all of whom are natives of the Diocese of Metuchen, will be ordained to the priesthood June 22 for service in their home diocese.
PISCATAWAY – Starting June 15, the New Jersey Independent Victim Compensation Program (IVCP) will begin accepting claims related to the sexual abuse of minors
METUCHEN – Bishop James F. Checchio will ordain eight men, three of whom are preparing for eventual service to the priesthood, as deacons during a Mass of the Rite of Ordination.
