Memorial Day Masses to be held at two Middlesex County cemeteries

Rev. Msgr. Joseph G. Celano, Episcopal Vicar of Administration, will preside at an outdoor Memorial Day Mass at 10 a.m. May 27, rain or shine, on the grounds of Resurrection Cemetery, Hoes Lane and Park Ave., Piscataway.

At the same time, Rev. Msgr. John N. Fell, Director of Priest Personnel, will preside at a Mass at Holy Cross Cemetery, 840 Cranbury South River Road, Jamesburg.

The Masses are part of a national Catholic cemeteries’ celebration entitled “Serving God and Country: A Memorial Day Salute to Our Heroes,” developed to honor those men and women who died while serving in the armed forces and to also recognize both our active military and military veterans who have served our country. At the end of the Mass, there will be a wreath laying ceremony which will include honor guard participation.
