We seek a passionate and experienced Middle School Science Teacher with a background in STEM education to join our dedicated faculty. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to developing our science curriculum, engaging our students in meaningful learning experiences, and fostering a love for scientific inquiry.
Job Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging science lessons for middle school students.
Develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and integrates STEM principles.
Foster a positive, classroom environment promoting active student participation and collaboration.
Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, including hands-on experiments, technology integration, and project-based learning.
Assess and evaluate student progress through formative and summative assessments.
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students and provide additional support or challenges as needed.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary connections and promote a cohesive educational experience for students.
Actively participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in science education.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Science, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
New Jersey State teaching certification (Preferred)
Demonstrated experience teaching middle school science with a focus on inquiry-based learning.
Knowledge of STEM principles and the ability to integrate technology into the curriculum.
