On April 15, 2019 the Diocese of Metuchen marked a memorable moment in its history as Anthony P. Kearns III, the longest serving prosecutor in Hunterdon County, began his role as Diocesan Chancellor.
The Office of the Chancellor allows love, grace, charisms and charity to flourish within the Diocese of Metuchen by sustaining the discipline and order created in the Church by universal law and diocesan policy. The Office of the Chancellor assists in the education of clergy and lay leadership about these laws and policies to enable the gathered community of Christian faithful to carry out its mission in the world.
The Commission for Historical Records provides direction to the development and preservation of the diocesan archives and patrimony as well as providing support and guidance to parishes in developing and preserving their own unique histories.
