Courage is the Catholic Church's pontifically approved ministry, which is specifically committed to providing spiritual support for persons with same-sex attraction who are striving to live chastely and offering help to grow in understanding with others toward living more fully the Church's teachings.

Diocesan Courage Support Group: The Diocese of Metuchen strongly believes the Catechism's teaching that people “who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies” must be treated with “respect, compassion, and sensitivity” (CCC #2358). EnCourage is a Roman Catholic Apostolate for parents, friends and family members of loved ones with same­-sex attractions. EnCourage is a faithful witness to Catholic teaching on sexual morality, which meets the needs of its members with charity and compassion. EnCourage does not embrace the necessity of changing a loved one’s sexual attraction to seek support from our ministry.

Diocesan EnCourage Support Group: Do you have a loved one dealing with same sex attraction issues?
