Abraham Orapankal, Parochial Vicar at St. Bartholomew Parish, East Brunswick, shares What the Bible Says About the Marginalized.  He conveys how the bible challenges the faithful to make a "preferential option for the poor," also a frequent teaching of Blessed John Paul II.  Participants are encouraged to read the Word of God with "new eyes" so they may be in solidarity with the most vulnerable human communities among us.

William Benwell, Vicar General of the diocese speaks about What the Bible Says About the Birth of Jesus Christ.  He reveals how the stories surrounding the birth of Jesus found in scripture are meant to do more than satisfy curiosity about His early years; they also convey profound truths about Godf and about God's plan for His followers.  He highlights aspects of the infancy narratives found in the gospels of Matthew and Luke, while examing their larger meaning and their relevance for Christians today.

Breen explores the scriptural references and themes associated with Mary's exemplary discipleship of her Son as a strong woman of faith and her role as mother, guide and model of all Christains and the Church.

What the Bible Says about Stewardship ---Rev. Msgr. Sylvester Cronin, diocesan executive director of the Department of Stewardship and Development, speaks about What the Bible Says About Stewardship.  In his talk, he addresses the misconception that stewardship is a relatively new concept that is simple a fundraising technique.  He explains how stewardship is actually a form of spirituality with biblical roots; it can be found in both the Hebrew Scriptures and the New Testament and its values can be applied to one's everyday life.
