Diaconate

What's New

The St. Stephen Fund was created to enable our deacons to assist each other in times of need. It is intended to take donated money to be used for the welfare of the members of the diaconate community in the Diocese. Contributions to this fund can be directed to Terry Gertz by having your checks made out to the Diocese of Metuchen.
The Deacons’ Table continues to serve the needy every Wednesday evening. The number of guests per week average between 65-80.
The Class of 2017 will begin their third year of formation and the Class of 2019 began their first year of formation on August 31, 2015. The men are students of Immaculate Conception Seminary at Seton Hall University. Let us pray that their spiritual life continues to grow as they prepare to become deacons in the Diocese of Metuchen.
Deacon Patrick Cline will be serving as the Associate Director for the Class of 2019. He is assisted by Deacon Peter Barcellona and Deacon Rick Fortune.
