The Diocese of Metuchen invites couples, who are experiencing serious problems in their marriage, to attend a “Retrouvaille” program the weekend of Sept. 16 – 18 in Somerset.

Sponsored by the diocesan Office of Family Life, the program begins with a weekend experience followed by six post-weekend sessions. During the weekend, presentations will be made by three married couples and a priest who will seek to empower couples with methods of communication that will enable them to examine areas of their relationship. After each presentation, couples will have private time to discuss the presentation as it relates to them. There will be no group discussions.

During the six follow-up sessions, the communication techniques learned on the weekend will be further developed as spouses continue to rebuild their relationship.

Although Retrouvaille is Catholic in origin and orientation, it is open to all married couples regardless of religious background. All inquiries are confidential.

For more information or to register, please visit and contact the Office of Family Life at (732) 562-1990 x1705 or
