Diocese of Metuchen to hold Hispanic Heritage Mass

METUCHEN – The Diocese of Metuchen’s Office of Hispanic Ministry will hold a Hispanic Heritage Mass on Friday, Oct. 9 at 7:30 p.m. at the Cathedral of St. Francis of Assisi, 32 Elm Ave., Metuchen. All are welcome.
Rev. Msgr. John B. Gordon, pastor of Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish, Perth Amboy, will be the principal celebrant, Very Rev. Marco A. Cáceres will be the homilist and Rev. Alfonso R. Condorson, director, Office for Hispanic Ministry, and pastor of St. Joseph Parish, Bound Brook, will concelebrate the Mass. As part of the nationally recognized Hispanic Heritage Month, the Mass, themed ‘¡Jesús, María y José! Bendigan nuestras familias,’ or ‘Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Bless our families,’ will be a celebration of faith and culture for Hispanics in the diocese.
