The community partners of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Metuchen, including corporate sponsors and individual donors, are always in the minds and hearts of the organization’s staff and those they serve.
Through their donations and sponsorships, Catholic Charities, Diocese of Metuchen is able to provide warm beds for the homeless, food for the hungry, emergency aid for disaster victims, help for families in crisis and many other services to the people of the four-county diocese, comprised of Middlesex, Somerset, Hunterdon and Warren.
In honor of the community partners and their generosity, the Diocese of Metuchen will host the Champions for Catholic Charities Community Partners Reception from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20 at Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club, 811 Rattlesnake Bridge Road, Bedminster. All are welcome to attend.
“This reception allows us an opportunity to show our gratitude for the corporate and individual benefactors who support the vital programs of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Metuchen, which in turn serves our local community and neighbors in need,” said Sue Mantarro, director, diocesan Office of Stewardship.
Proceeds from the event will directly benefit Catholic Charities, Diocese of Metuchen, a non-profit agency dedicated to assisting all people in need, regardless of race, religion or ethnicity.
Last year, Catholic Charities, Diocese of Metuchen, served 59,000 people of all faiths. The nonprofit agency has eight service areas and offers more than 100 programs, 20 of which provide service to the disenfranchised and underprivileged, including homeless mothers who are employed or engaged in job training.
Tickets for the Champions for Catholic Charities Community Partners Reception are $250 per person. In addition, there will be a 50/50 Raffle for $100 per ticket. Two winning tickets will be drawn at 8 p.m. at the event. Ticket holders need not be present to win.
Donations and contributions of any amount will also be accepted in conjunction with this event. All donations to Champions for Catholic Charities are tax-deductible.
Besides individual donors, the Diocese of Metuchen is also seeking corporate sponsors who will be recognized with varying public displays, including print advertisements in local newspapers.
“Through their generosity, our community partners make it possible for Catholic Charities, Diocese of Metuchen to serve as a visible sign of Christ’s love in our diocese,” Mantarro said. “We are very pleased to have this opportunity to say ‘thank you’ and publicly acknowledge all they have given.”
