Catholic Center at Rutgers University to host bioethics lecture

SOMERSET – The Diocese of Metuchen’s Department of Education and Foundation for Education will sponsor an Autumn Tricky Tray on Friday, Nov. 6, at The Imperia, 1714 Easton Ave., Somerset. Doors will open at 5 p.m. and the first ticket will be called at 8 p.m. Proceeds from the event will support tuition aid for eligible families with children attending a Catholic school in the diocese.
All are welcome to attend. The cost is $50 per person, which includes a hot dinner buffet, one free drink ticket and one sheet of tier one tickets to be used for prizes valued up to $250. No admission tickets will be sold at the door and no one under 18 will be admitted.

PISCATAWAY – The Catholic Center at Rutgers University will sponsor a lecture titled, “Modern Bioethics: Frankenstein or Hope for the Future?” on Tuesday, Nov. 3, at 8 p.m. at the Livingston Student Center, 84 Joyce Kilmer Ave., Piscataway.

Presented by Rev. Tadeusz Pacholczyk, Ph.D., director of education for The National Catholic Bioethics Center, this lecture will examine recent bio-medical advances and the bioethics debate. Following the presentation, there will be an opportunity for a question and answer session.

Admission is free and complimentary parking is available on the Livingston Campus. All are welcome.
