Bishops to hold solemn evening prayer for Mid-East peace

NEW BRUNSWICK – Bishop Paul G. Bootkoski of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Metuchen and Bishop Gregory Mansour of the Eparchy of St. Maron of Brooklyn will hold a solemn evening prayer for peace in the Middle East on Oct. 7 at 7:00 p.m. – the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary – at Sacred Heart Church of Holy Family Parish, 56 Throop Ave., New Brunswick. All are welcome.
The Diocese of Metuchen will seek the special intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the pursuit of peace – and especially peace for persecuted Christians – in the Middle East as they continue to deal with deadly threats, relocation and a vulnerable future.
The evening prayer service is sponsored by the diocesan Catholic Charities Solidarity Team. A collection will be taken up in support of Catholic Relief Services' work in Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Gaza and Syria.  For more information, call the Holy Family Parish office at 732-545-1681 or visit http://ccsolidarity.org.
