General Information

The Diocesan Festival Choir is a choir of 40-50 singers that sings at major Diocesan Liturgies throughout the year, including Ordinations, Chrism Mass, Wedding Anniversary Liturgies, etc.

Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings from 8:00 – 9:30 pm.

Membership is by audition, and auditions consist of simple vocalizes to evaluate primarily pitch-matching, tonal quality and breath control.

Singers who enjoy the larger-choir experience are encouraged to contact Thom DeLessio to discuss membership in the choir, and to schedule an audition.

The Diocesan Festival Choir rehearses at the St. John Neumann Pastoral Center, 146 Metlars Lane in Piscataway, unless otherwise indicated.

General Information

The Diocesan Chamber Choir is a small auditioned ensemble of 4-5 singers per voice part that sings at select Diocesan liturgies, sometimes with and sometimes independent of the Diocesan Festival Choir.

The choir also offers charitable and outreach concerts upon request. This ensemble rehearses on Tuesday’s 7:00 - 8:30 PM.

Repertoire is challenging and rehearsals fast paced.

Prospective members will be offered a more extensive audition and are expected to have private study in voice or a strong, natural voice and/or fast music-reading ability.

The Diocesan Chamber Choir rehearses at the St. John Neumann Pastoral Center on Metlars Lane in Piscataway, unless otherwise indicated.
